A full-moon Friday night practice of deep rest.

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, yin yoga offers something quietly radical: the chance to slow right down.

Yin yoga is a gentle, floor-based practice where postures are held for longer, allowing the body to soften rather than strive. Instead of stretching muscles, we work with the deeper connective tissues — supporting joint health, circulation, and flexibility over time. Just as importantly, yin gives the nervous system permission to settle.

This is not about effort or achievement. It’s about learning how to rest well.

Each session takes place around the time of the full moon, a natural pause point in the month. Across cultures, the full moon has long been associated with illumination, release, and completion — a moment to notice what feels full, and what’s ready to be let go.

You don’t need to believe anything in particular for this to be meaningful; it simply offers a gentle rhythm for reflection and rest.

The sound bath weaves through the practice and into the final rest, using instruments such as singing bowls and subtle tones to support deep relaxation. Sound works on the body at a subtle level, helping quiet mental chatter, ease stress, and guide the body towards a calmer, more restorative state. Many people leave feeling grounded, spacious, and deeply nourished — often sleeping better afterwards.

This 90-minute session is an invitation to close the week and the lunar cycle consciously, release held tension, and step into the weekend feeling steadier and more at ease. No experience is needed. You don’t need to be flexible, calm, or “good at relaxing”. Just arrive as you are.

TESTIMONIALS

"An excellent class, would thoroughly recommend. Theresa has gentle and down to earth approach to yoga. She successfully pitches each class so it’s easy to join in for complete beginners, and has plenty to interest and stretch anyone who has practiced yoga before. She keeps the format fresh so that each session has a slightly different flavour – and as well as giving a great work out there's plenty of time for relaxation too. If you’re looking for a supportive, enjoyable class then this is for you! "

ELEANOR

"Theresa offers fantastic classes which cater for all abilities and will often suggest variations on exercises depending on your experience which makes it suitable for all levels. Attending the weekly yoga classes, which often target a different part of the body, has tied in with the rest of my exercise regime really well, and has helped improve my strength, flexibility and also helped me to relax my mind”.
